Akira Seeds in Almería

Expolevante exhibition took place lasst 5 to 9 May, in Nijar, one of the latest growing areas for the Almeria greenhouses. One of the more visible stands was the AKIRA SEEDS one; beside the main entrance, the booth of this specialist in seeds of tasty vegetables highlighted its wide range of specialties in pepper: Fresno peppers in three colors (red, yellow and orange), a range of ornamental peppers (Poinsettia, Holiday Time, Dancing Spirits , Ristra Cayenne, Black Olive, Twilight, Holiday Cheer, Pickle, Thai Super chili, Patio Fire & Ice, Ceyenne Party), Habanero peppers in 8 colors, red and yellow Scotch Bonnet, and other types as AK 5910 Rawit F1, shaped like a Thai pepper; AK 5939 resembling the Fresno shape; AK-5928 F1 type "Clock". In Cayenne pepper, Seeds Akira range includes at least four varieties with different final color. From Jalapeno pepper, the offer includes three main specialties. In watermelons, Akira Seeds has a range of diploid and triploid varieties, several of which are special for early and media cycles. In diploid varieties, Black Magic F1, F1 Calimero, Marbella F1, F1 Samanta. In triploid ones, Akiless, Sidor F1, F1 and Mini Density Ruby Black F1. The onion range of varieties cover very early, Early Sun Top F1, the “extraordinary early” Top Spring F1; Top Star F1, also early; Atila F1 an interesting variety for middle May harvest; Gulnar F1 very early and with red bulb; Early Grano F1 Yellow, with straw yellow color. Regarding tomato varieties, Akira Seeds has a range of special types such as AK TE 020 F1, a red mini plum tomato; AK TE 022, F1, a yellow pear tomato; an indeterminate tomato red with brown shading; Ricciolo F1, early cycle and shape like “ox heart”; and Bottondoro F1, indeterminate plant with very high Brix. The range of pear tomato include at least five specialties: Starplus F1, AK-TIP 50 (Italicus) F1, F1 Jupiter, Sandokan F1, F1 Zapateco.
