Citrosol, a leader in post-harvest solutions, is gearing up for its participation in the upcoming edition of Fruit Attraction, which will take place from October 8 to 10 in Madrid. The Valencian company, located in Hall 3, Stand C28, has chosen this key event to showcase its latest innovation: CATsystem®, an intelligent consumption system designed to ensure the effectiveness of post-harvest treatments.

The CATsystem® Experience

Citrosol's major highlight for this edition of Fruit Attraction is the presentation of CATsystem®. To showcase its benefits, the company has created an exclusive area within its stand for visitors to experience the CATsystem® firsthand. Through engaging infographics and demonstrations, attendees will discover how this revolutionary system tackles decay and food safety issues commonly faced in packinghouses, boosting productivity and operational peace of mind once installed.

In addition, Citrosol's R&D team, responsible for developing this innovative technology, will be present throughout the event to provide personalized technical advice and answer any questions visitors may have about the system.

To ensure the best possible experience, Citrosol has set up registration forms for interested professionals to sign up in advance and make the most of the CATsystem® Experience. These forms will help tailor the attention, ensuring each visitor receives information customized to their needs.

CATsystem® competing for innovation

The launch of CATsystem® will not only highlight Citrosol’s participation in Fruit Attraction 2024 but will also compete in the Innovation Hub Awards, an opportunity to stand out as one of the most disruptive innovations in the post-harvest sector. This participation underscores Citrosol’s commitment to continuous innovation and its focus on providing added value solutions for its clients.

International reach

Fruit Attraction also serves as the ideal platform for developing long-term strategies, and Citrosol is projecting a promising future in countries with rapidly expanding fruit and vegetable production, which represent a significant potential for growth in the coming years. The company’s technologies add considerable value not only to the global citrus market but also to other crops, such as tropical fruits and stone fruits, where Citrosol has been developing solutions for many years.

Exclusive attention

Citrosol will have an innovative stand with a 64 m² space in Hall 3C28. There, 23 professionals will be on hand to offer the best service to clients and visitors interested in learning firsthand about the company's product catalog. Additionally, Citrosol's staff from South Africa and Peru will be present, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to the global market.

About Citrosol

Although founded in 1994 as Productos Citrosol, S.A., post-harvest treatment and technology activities began in the 1960s within Electroquímica del Serpis, S.A., both located in Potries, Valencia. As a result of significant organic growth over the last 15 years, Citrosol currently has 134 employees, 10 of whom are based in various countries and its subsidiaries in South Africa, Citrosol South Africa Pty, and Peru, Citrosol Perú. At its facilities in Potries, the company has an R&D laboratory and a pilot plant covering over 1,200 m². This growth has been largely driven by its strong innovative spirit, having won the CEPYME Innovation Award in 2015 and 2020, as well as the 2020 Innovation in Business Award from the Valencia Chamber of Commerce.

Citrosol started as a specialist in post-harvest treatments and technology for citrus, but for over a decade, driven by its R&D efforts, it has been developing solutions to extend the shelf life of avocados, peppers, tomatoes, peeled garlic, and other fruits and vegetables. Currently, Citrosol is introducing its solution for fresh-cut produce, the Citrocide® Fresh-Cut System, which significantly reduces the water and carbon footprint in fresh-cut fruit and vegetable production. With all its treatments and technologies, Citrosol greatly contributes to reducing food loss and waste in fresh produce while enhancing the sustainability of post-harvest processes.
