Eurecat has collaborated with Giró to develop its new 100% cellulosic packaging. Specifically, in the research for suitable cellulosic yarns to replace conventional plastic yarns. Eurecat has also collaborated in the search for the optimum thermoadhesive to close this new packaging.
Another of the joint projects was the design and characterisation of an alternative closure system to metal strapping to achieve 100% recyclable packaging.
On the other hand, Eurecat organised tailor-made training sessions for Giró’s multidisciplinary teams to acquire knowledge about new cellulose materials and new suppliers.
