AgroFresh participate in key trade shows in May

AgroFresh, an AgTech innovator with 40 years of experience in the near- and post-harvest sector, continues to develop sustainable solutions to reduce food loss/waste and steward the planet’s resources. These innovations will be presented at two leading trade fairs in the produce sector in May: Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM) in Morocco, and the Macfrut fair in Italy, from 3-5 May.

SIAM is the leading trade fair for the agricultural and agro-industrial technology sector on the African continent. This year they celebrate the 15th edition which will take place in Meknes from 2-7 May. AgroFresh’s team will share their post-harvest experience and expertise at the Spanish Pavilion, E-1, organized by ICEX.

Macfrut is the trade fair for professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector that covers all areas of the sector, from production to consumption. This year they celebrate the 40th edition which will take place in Rimini. AgroFresh’s booth will be located at Hall B3 Stand 199.

At both shows AgroFresh will showcase its latest innovations:

• VitaFresh TM Botanicals SoftFruit is a plant-based coating for stone fruits. It creates a natural “double skin” effect to maintain the freshness of the fruit. This product is vegan-certified by the European Vegetarian Union (EVU), providing an additional advantage for products destined for export.
• FreshCloud TM, AgroFresh’s most cutting-edge technology services solution, is an integrated digital platform for produce professionals that improves planning, produce quality and profitability. FreshCloud has gained popularity due to its adaptability to the needs of each client, and its ease of application to different types of crops, such as citrus, apples or stone fruits, all from any connected device.
• SmartFresh TM, the original and industry-leading 1-MCP ethylene management technology that revolutionized the apple industry in the last 20 years. This year SmartFresh will be launched in Morocco in the ProTabs format for apples and plums. This solutions is available in Italy for multiple crops such as apples, peaches, kiwis,plums and pears, among others.

AgroFresh’s solutions support producers, packers and retailers along the food supply chain to improve the quality and extend the shelf life of fresh produce.
