On the 4th 6th February 2015 packaging experts BALTIMORE INNOVATIONS will be exhibiting at the worlds premier Fresh Produce trade show attracting luminaries from the world of fruit and vegetables to Berlin each year. Baltimore will be showcasing their latest breakthrough in its portfolio of specialty packaging with the launch of the Fresh-R-PaxTM mini-container. Designed with both retailers and processors in mind the mini-container is a tray comprising the food-safe Fresh-R-PaxTM absorbent technology which improves the quality and extends the shelf life for fresh cut fruits. Extended shelf life results in better tasting products, higher sales, less wastage, longer production runs and extended distribution area. Fresh-R-PaxTM works by absorbing the excess juice/liquid fresh cut fruit releases and gives processors the ability to pack the ripest and sweet tasting fruit. The new Fresh-R-PaxTM 70g and 110g mini-containers are ideal for processor target markets such as; kids snacks, school lunches and retail/convenience stores. The new packs are easy to open, tamper evident, and are ideal for packing fresh-cut pineapple and melon. Customers have been asking us to develop single-serve packaging which incorporates the extended shelf life our technology offers fresh cut fruits. At the same time theyve asked us to keep the solution cost effective and by sealing a Fresh-R-PaxTM pad into the base of a square tray/punnet were happy the new mini-containers tick all three boxes said Matthew Valentine, Managing Director, Baltimore Innovations. Baltimore Innovations can be visited at the Fruit Logistica in Hall 8.2, Stand A-01
