Next May 8th 2017 the 2nd International On-line Course on Postharvest & Fresh-cut Technologies, offered by the Postharvest and Refrigeration Group (GPR) of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (Spain) will start after a successfull 1st edition.
Next May 8th 2017 the 2nd International On-line Course on Postharvest & Fresh-cut Technologies, offered by the Postharvest and Refrigeration Group (GPR) of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (Spain) will start after a successfull 1st edition. Five Registration fee Grants will be available for preferably young students (<30) or researchers native and resident in a developing or an in transition country. Each grant covers the full registration fee to the on-line course. The Course is addressed to Postharvest professionals and pre and post graduate students related to quality and safety assurance, research and extension on production, handling, transport and marketing of whole and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables. This virtual course gathers 41 international instructors from the 5 Continents, 20 Countries and 30 Universities / Research Centers. It consists of 50 recorded videos of 30 min each, with a total Course duration of 25 h. In the first edition, students of 12 countries from the 5 continents completed the Course. The videos will be available from May 8th to September 15thany time on the e-platform and can be watched at the students convenience. Tutoring of each class will be attended by the instructor via e-mail. After passing a multiple choice test, an Official Certificate in Postharvest and Fresh-cut Technologies will be awarded by Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.
