Controlled atmosphere chambers for fresh fruits

ISOFRED and MARVIL ENGINEERING have teamed up since 2014 to design and build industrial cold rooms with modified atmospheres.


This preservation method has four significant advantages:

  • Elimination of blanching defects for different fruit varieties.
  • Fresher fruit, minimal weight loss and longer shelf life.
  • No alteration of organoleptic qualities.
  • 100% ECO system


The cold rooms are adaptable to any installation and offer a controlled atmosphere in different conditions, including AC, ULO and dynamic conditions, to ensure optimal conditions for all types of products. They use nitrogen-free absorbers, nitrogen generators with minimum consumption, and ethanol and gas analyzers for better preservation quality. They also install CO2 absorbers and PSA-type nitrogen generators.


Finally, the chambers are equipped with overpressure control to maintain optimum airtightness.
