Tobi Seeobst AG has selected Isolcell for the construction of 25 state-of-the-art storage chambers designed to preserve 4,400 tons of premium apples in optimal conditions. These new facilities will be equipped with advanced Dynamic Controlled Atmosphere (DCA) systems and innovative technology, guaranteeing the ideal preservation of the fruit.

Tobi Seeobst AG is a prominent Swiss company specializing in the distribution, storage, and packaging of pome, stone fruits, and berries. Founded in 2008, the company closely collaborates with around 450 producers. Its commitment to high-quality standards allows Tobi Seeobst's products to be distributed to major retailers.

Isolcell, on the other hand, stands out as a leader in developing advanced atmospheric control systems, manufacturing equipment such as ozone generators, oxygen and ethylene adsorbers, converters, and O2 and CO2 analyzers. The company distinguishes itself by its continuous investment in research and development, cutting-edge technology, superior production processes, and its ability to offer customized solutions that meet each client’s specific needs.

DCA Technology and Chamber Automation for Precise Preservation Control

Tobi Seeobst AG’s facilities incorporate DCA technology, using chlorophyll fluorescence sensors for precise control over fruit quality. Additionally, the chambers are equipped with four low-energy CO2 eco-purifiers and a nitrogen generator with a capacity of 82 m³/h at 99% purity, ensuring an ideal environment to prolong the freshness of the apples. Two Multiplex Plus gas analyzers provide an additional layer of safety through independent readings, reducing the need for manual checks. The entire system is managed by digital pressure controllers that maintain optimal storage conditions.

The cooling system in the chambers uses an ammonia/glycol solution, minimizing weight loss in the apples during storage. Furthermore, an innovative heat recovery system maximizes process efficiency with a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.

With this project, Tobi Seeobst AG reaffirms its commitment to quality and innovation in the preservation of agricultural products, trusting Isolcell to implement an efficient and sustainable storage system for its premium apples.
