The previously applied trough hole technology has been replaced by complex SMD technology and the most advanced electronic components are nowadays used in the product of VDH. VDH controllers are becoming more complex in terms of both hardware and software in order to continue to meet the increasing wishes of our customers and to remain at the forefront of technological developments. All of this affects the repairs we perform on our products. Apart from the fact that our repair department uses the most modern techniques and tools, you can imagine that repairs are more intensive and therefore take more time. It is therefore important that a good description is included when a repair is . To register repairs, we ask you to use the VDH return form. ResearchDuring a repair, it is often not immediately clear what the problem is and research will have to be done first in order to better estimate what needs to be done. Investigating and detecting problems is intensive and time-consuming. Not all complaints manifest themselves immediately and only come to light after several actions. The product has to be opened, various measurements are made, parts are replaced, in order to finally arrive at a good preliminary investigation. A quotation of the total repair costs will then follow or not. After receiving your approval, final repair will take place. CostWhen you register your product for repair, various costs may be charged if the defect falls outside the warranty conditions of VDH Products BV. Naturally, only products that have been engineered and produced by VDH Products BV qualify.The following costs may be charged:Research costsResearch costs will be charged at all times. These must in any case be paid to get the product (even unrepaired) returned.For research costs, we make a distinction between category A and category B repairs. Research and repairs of advanced controls require more attention and therefore more time and are classified as category A repairs.Category A repairs include the following products;- MC2 controllers- MC3 Controls- Proba controllers- MC 785 controllers- Spray booth controlsResearch and repairs of less sophisticated controls and sensors require less attention and therefore less time and are classified as category B repairs.Category B repairs include the following products;- Alpha(net) controllers- MC 585 controllers- expansion modules- pressure gauges & thermometers- sensorsAs of September 1, 2021, research costs will be charged for category A repairs at Euro 79,00. For Category B repairs, research costs are charged at Euro 39,00. Products not listed are classified by the repair department.
