The winners of the 2015 Asia Fruit Awards will be unveiled on 1 September in a presentation ceremony at Asiafruit Congress, Asias premier fresh produce conference. The unique annual pan-Asian awards for the fresh produce business are presented by ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA, Asias leading fresh fruit and vegetable trade show, and the industrys premier publication Asiafruit Magazine. The Asia Fruit Awards are given in three categories Marketing Campaign of the Year, Importer of the Year and Produce Retailer of the Year with the winners selected by Asiafruit Magazine and ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA. In 2014, the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award was won jointly by US marketing body Northwest Cherry Growers, Chinese fruit e-tailer Fruitday and e-commerce giant TMall for their landmark online cherry promotion in China. Thai importer Vachamon scooped the Importer of the Year Award, while the Produce Retailer of the Year went to leading Singaporean supermarket chain NTUC Fairprice. The Asia Fruit Awards recognise the excellent work that individual companies are doing in key parts of the fresh produce value chain in Asia, says Gérald Lamusse, managing director of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA organiser, Global Produce Events. Our winners serve as benchmarks of excellence in their respective fields. The winners of the 2015 Asia Fruit Awards will be announced at 12:30-13:00 on 1 September at Asiafruit Congress, which takes place AsiaWorld-Expo Center in Hong Kong. John Hey, editor of Asiafruit Magazine, says this years Asia Fruit Award winners have been chosen from a very strong and increasingly competitive field. Asia is blazing a trail in key aspects of produce retailing, the level of marketing activity is ramping up, and import operations across the region are undergoing rapid evolution to keep pace with market demands, he says. This years winners are leading examples of these changes. Chris White, managing director of Asiafruit Magazine publisher Market Intelligence, will join Lamusse in presenting the winners with their trophies before the Networking Lunch at Asiafruit Congress.
