Day about the commercialization of processed fruit and vegetables

On Thursday the 30th of March, IRTA and the Agriculture Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya will organize a technical day: "Procesados vegetales de IV y V gamma: una oportunidad para su empresa" – “Processed and minimally processed vegetables: an oportunity for your Company”. The commercialization of processed fruit and vegetables is an expanding sector and, therefore, with opportunities for the Catalan agri-food industry. In this day we will present the trends of a world-wide level in the processing of vegetables, which allows the companies of power go a step ahead and offer to the market new products with more added value. We will also announce the training and support strategy for the development of innovative vegetable processing projects of the DARP, which is articulated through the "Specialization Seminar on fruit and vegetable minimally processed and processed", which this year will celebrate the third edition. The companies that participate in this strategy receive training in technology, food safety, regulation, marketing, etc. and support in the generation and development of innovative plant processing ideas. During the day will also recognize the best projects that emerged from the seminar of 2016.
