Eco-friendly packaging solutions at Asia Fruit Logistica 2019

INFIA was demostrating its eco-friendly packaging solutions at Asia Fruit Logistica exhibition, scheduled in Hong Kong from 4th to 6th September 2019. "Operators from Oceania were particularly interested in our solutions, which are made entirely of recycled PET," explained sales manager Matteo Baiocchi. Infia employs recycled PET that can be used for food products. When it comes to long distances, this packaging is more reliable as sometimes months pass between packaging and consumption. "Here in Hong Kong, I talked to both established and new clients. Awareness as regards sustainability is not always top-level in Asia, but leading companies are like the Europeans when it comes to it. At Infia, we converted our production using recycled PET over a year ago, which helped us take a huge leap forward on a global level." Plastic obtained from recycled material helps avoid waste and contributes to a circular economy. The environmental problem generated by plastic is resolved generating a material that can be reused. The so-called bioplastics of vegetable origin are not suitable for food, while R-PET 100% is perfect and 95% of it derives from post-food consumption.
