CITROSOL enjoys a 65% share of the Peruvian market in postharvest products. The Potríes company has already delivered two scientific seminars in Lima and will soon be launching new product solutions to extend the life of the fruit in this region. Citrosol has now unloaded its 'Know-How Container®' in Egypt and has caused a sensation among the international operators who attended the 1st MAC Fruit Attraction fair in Cairo. Citrosol has actively participated recently in two important international events, each held in strategic areas of global importance; Peru on the American Continent, and Egypt in the Mediterranean. Citrosol entertained guests at their exhibition stand at the IX International Seminar organized in Lima by the Peruvian Citrus Growers Association, Procitrus, and their CEO, Benito Orihuel, delivered two scientific lectures. "The first presentation was on Citrosol´s technical and commercial approaches to handling, specifically adapted for the Peruvian citrus growers, and the second was about rind disorders in postharvest fruit and how to deal with strains resistant to the fungicides currently in use, in particular, alternative methods to handle the resistance to Penicillium" said Orihuel. The Andean event attracted an even wider professional audience than previous editions with citrus growers and exporters showing a growing interest in products that contribute to "the safe arrival of citrus fruit while its still fresh."Leaders in PeruCitrosol is the leading company for postharvest protection of citrus fruit in Peru with a share of some 60-65%, which means that the Valencian company covers virtually all the Peruvian export market. Benito Orihuel stressed "What our Peruvian customers appreciate most is the service we offer and the solutions we bring to avert the possible problems that may arise postharvest", adding that "soon Citrosol will announce new solutions to stabilize and further extend the postharvest shelf-life of the fruit that is increasingly travelling to ever more distant destinations. The Potríes company is currently developing technologies and systems focused on other classes of fruit specifically for the Peruvian market. Peru enjoys the perfect climate for growing many different fruit and vegetable types and also has good levels of vocational training and education systems. Egypt and the Mediterranean BasinThe first edition of the MAC Fruit Attraction fair in Cairo involving fruit and vegetable exporters, machinery, packaging companies and other ancillary activities ended a few days ago. Citrosol was the only postharvest company to attend and exhibited their Know-How Container®, which has now clocked up its third international fair after Madrid and Berlin. "We are delighted with the reception given to our Know-How Container®" confirmed Benito Orihuel, "Our stand generated a lot of excitement both for its design and its content. Many people wanted to see inside the Know-How Container® and we received a lot of comments congratulating us on how interesting and informative the content was." Inside the Know-How Container®, best postharvest practices that allow the maximum freshness of fruit to be maintained throughout intercontinental shipments of citrus products are shown: From Tree to Table. What Citrosol can bring to this task is outstanding, be it treatment in the drencher with our Zero Discharge® System and our waxes; or perhaps in disinfection processes where Fumispore® stands out from the crowd or the Nebulizer X3 + Citroguanida LU, a recently released new disinfection product or the mitigation of "chilling damage" and rind disorders with solutions like Fortisol® Ca. Egypt is one of the Citrosols flagship international markets given our long history with and presence in the country. "Day after day our Egyptian clients are exporting their citrus produce to even more distant destinations demanding evermore technical solutions, which is why they trust our recommendations, our catalog and our services to achieve the most satisfactory results," said the CEO. At MAC Fruit Attraction Citrosols managers have witnessed that the markets are ever more demanding (looking for a reduction in active ingredients both in number and in their concentration, journeys and/or conservation periods being extended etc.). "Thats why Citrosol can bring so much added value to our clients with our post-harvest evaluations" Orihuel concluded. More information
