Featured in the September 25th North American Fresh Plaza Newsletter, Fruit Maps has exceeding potential to drastically reduce waste and increase profits of commercial growers. Those interested in Fruit Maps can find information on the app and beta testing opportunities at the Felix Instruments website. For those interested in a hands-on demonstration, Ryan Lerud and Chelsea Gaya were available at WSTFA Monday-Wednesday (Dec. 4-6). They had an F-750 Produce Quality Meter available for trial along with a live demonstration of Fruit Maps. The F-750 Produce Quality Meter is an instrument that takes non-destructive measurements of internal qualities, like sugar and dry matter, in fruit using NIR (Near Infrared) spectroscopy. As featured in the Fall Edition of Mango Matters magazine, the F-750 Produce Quality Meter is a valuable tool with a long and successful history as a non-destructive tool for determining mango maturity and optimizing harvest timing. To meet with either Ryan or Chelsea for further information, please contact Chelsea Gaya, 360-600-0297.
