Giró launches Dual Handle, the GirBagger's lightest packaging

GIRÓ is constantly committed to researching new materials and new packaging technologies that allow it to offer environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions in the fresh produce packaging industry. For this reason, this 2020 presents its new Dual Handle packaging, a 100% recyclable bag, as light as a 2 cent coin that can be made with any GirBagger or GirBagger Speed Line. Both the net and the film are made of 100% PE (polyethylene), making it a single-product packaging that is easy to recycle. Thanks to the thin handles on both sides (75 mm wide at the widest part and tapering to 30 mm in the middle), the pack combines light weight with the attraction of having a printed handle always visible at the point of sale. The Dual Handle weighs approximately 3 grams and can hold between 1kg and 2kg of fruit or vegetables, making it one of the most efficient packs on the market. One of the biggest advantages of this packaging, apart from the fact that it does not require a clip or other element, is that it can be made with an existing machine, the GirBagger or GirBagger Speed Line with a Window-Compact kit. The GirBagger, with more than 3,000 machines installed around the world, is the most versatile packaging machine on the market as it allows, with the same machine, up to 11 different types of packaging (Ultrabag, Ultrabag Fashioned, Window Ultrabag, Girsac, Girsac Fashioned, Girplus, Girplusac, MiniBag, Window Compact, Handle Bag and Dual Handle). The machine output is 30 bags per minute for this pack.
