The Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training Institute of Andalusia, Ifapa, will hold a training day on Tuesday 9 May in the auditorium of the Moguere?a Cuna de Platero cooperative. The day will be attended by researchers from various centers of the Ifapa in Andalusia and they will release the results of the tests related to the disinfection of soils in strawberry and the different techniques employed.
The Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training Institute of Andalusia, Ifapa, will hold a training day on Tuesday 9th May in the auditorium of the Moguere?a Cuna de Platero cooperative. The day will?be attended by researchers from various centers of the Ifapa in Andalusia and they will release the results of the tests related to the disinfection of soils in strawberry and the different techniques employed. A?day in?which technicians and farmers interested in the subject are invited requires prior registration although it is free. It is expected that the inauguration will be in charge of the president of the Ifapa, Jer?nimo P?rez. The work sessions will begin with a presentation on 'Advances in the development of non-chemical techniques of soil disinfection, combined with microorganisms' contribution, by Luis Miranda, Mar?a Camacho and Berta de los Santos from the Las Torres-Tomejil center And of Miguel Talavera that is in the center Camino del Purchill. The second exhibition deals with 'Techniques of biofumigation and solarization, adapted to the conditions of strawberry cultivation in Huelva' by Jos? Antonio G?mez and Berta de los Santos from the center of Ifapa Las Torres-Tomejil and Miguel Talavera. The 'Efficiency of chemical techniques of soil disinfestation and biosolarization in the control of populations of strawberry pathogens and incidence of diseases' will be by Luis Miranda, Miguel Talavera and Berta de los Santos. The researchers will open a speech at the end of the exhibitions to clarify the questions raised by the attendees. The day will conclude with a round table on the 'Present and future of chemical disinfectants in strawberry cultivation' in which technicians Jos? Manuel Romero of Dow AgroSciences, M? Jes?s Zan?n de Certis Europe and Arguro Redondo and Juan Fern?ndez de Lainco SA. Discover more events
