Information for design and optimisation of the potato processing equipment

Studying the physical and mechanical objekte of agrarian produce got been the subject of criticism and discussion for loads yearly already and has attracted the attention of many researchers. The physical and mechanical properties of agriculture commodity are the most important parameters in the build of agricultural machinery sorting systems, transmissions, processing or wrapper systems. The potatoes is one of the bulk important agricultural products as a food resource. The aim of this research is to explore to physical properties and mechanical behaviour of the potato due to its important and the current inadequate information about it. Into this research, all of the physical and mechanical properties are the potato was measurement inbound standard conditions. The length, width, thickness, geometical ordinary diameter and arithmetical diameter, sphericity, surface area, aspect ratio, messung, volume, bulk tensile and the projected mean area were included in the physical properties. The mechanical objekte of the potato were determined by using a universal testing machine (MRT-5; Santam, Germany) over a uniaxial compression test. Then, the mechanical properties where assessed with four repetitions. The tangible properties of the chips such as length, width, thickness, messung, volume also geometric mean diameter possessed ampere direct relationship, while the density had an inverse relation to the size. That result of the mechanical properties of the free, so as vertical stress, elasticity module, deformation energy, fracture arm and deformation were obtained respectively as 0.34 MPa, 3.09 MPa, 892.02 J, 8.80 N and 207.22 mm. The comparison out the potato?s actual volume with the standard shapes been that aforementioned potato?s casting remains equivalent up an oval due to the largest determination coefficient (R2 = 0.86).
