After a whole year of? postponement, INTERPOM?will finally be held on Sunday 28, Monday 29 and Tuesday 30? November 2021 in Kortrijk Xpo (B). INTERPOM is the leading international meeting platform for? the potato chain in Europe and will be the first physical meeting platform of its kind since the? pandemic broke out. This event will be an exceptional one, with the appropriate theme being? 'Let's reconnect the potato chain'! So come and meet colleagues and suppliers to discuss this? very eventful period for the sector, to discover a selection of innovative solutions that will help? you tackle the challenges of tomorrow, and above all to prepare for the 2022-2023 season. In short, INTERPOM is always the perfect opportunity to take stock and keep abreast of the latest? market developments.? Major challenges within the potato chain? The potato industry has been going through a particularly difficult time. Not only because of the whole? coronavirus situation, which has had a considerable impact on the market, but also as a result of? other changes in circumstances that have affected the potato chain: the climate issue, the? consequences of the ban on the use of CIPC for potato storage, the first steps towards the Green? Deal, etc. The 325 exhibitors from no less than 15 countries ? involved in the cultivation,? processing or marketing of potatoes ? have already developed many innovative solutions to meet? these new challenges. At INTERPOM, they will be presenting their most advanced machinery,? products, services and digital technologies in an exhibition area of 35,000 m? (that is, once again, the? entire complex of Kortrijk Xpo!). These are aimed at potato growers, agriculture contractors, the? processing industry, packers, buyers and traders of fresh and processed potatoes.? Still, the selection also? includes straightforward yet very cleverly designed new products that will help users to remain both? efficient and competitive in the sector. As a new feature for this? year, you will be able to live stream the sessions and then watch them (again) later on via the? Interpom website. The full programme with further details on the various topics can be found on www.interpom.be.? Plan a safe visit to INTERPOM thanks to the Covid Safe Ticket / COVID Certificate system INTERPOM will be held in a secure environment and in its usual form with the use of the Covid Safe? Ticket (CST) / COVID Certificate system. As is the case for most national and international events and? fairs, each visitor, exhibitor or supplier will be required to show a valid Covid Safe Ticket at the? entrance to gain access to INTERPOM: the QR code in the CovidSafeBE app or the QR code from? the European COVID certificate (or the same QR code on paper, but a digital version is preferred as it? improves readability).? So make sure you have the following with you:?- your vaccination certificate with QR code?(fully vaccinated for more than 2 weeks) or? - your recovery certificate with QR code?issued less than 6 months ago or? - proof of a recent negative PCR test?(validity period = day of the test + 2 days)? or a rapid antigen test (RAT) (with sample taken maximum 24 hours ago). This test must beperformed by a medically trained professional (e.g. your pharmacist). This person is also ?authorised to provide you with a valid QR code for your Covid Safe Ticket.? Please note that the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) uses the same QR code as the European COVID ?certificate. Both these codes are identical. Therefore, there is no separate application method or ?procedure for the Covid Safe Ticket. If you already have this certificate, you do not need to apply for ?an additional document.? In addition, you are not required to wear a face mask at the trade fair and there are no ?restrictions with regard to catering. Kortrijk Xpo also provides sufficient sanitation facilities on site as ?well as continuous ventilation in the exhibition halls. Thanks to the CST system, there are no ?restrictions on the number of visitors and you can visit the trade fair safely with your partners or ?colleagues.? Are you coming by plane??Please note there is a COVID-19 test centre at Brussels Airport. For more information, visit www.brusselsairport.ecocare.center.?
