The biennial event with the international apple show, started in 1998, returns to Fiera Bolzano from 24 to 26 November. For this special occasion, in addition to the eagerly awaited "The Apple in the World" conference and educational tours in the production areas there are the innovations of an even larger trade fair and the involvement of all the city.Interpoma 2016, the international apple trade fair taking place at Fiera Bolzano (South Tyrol/Italy) from 24 to 26 November, will be a very special edition: its 10th! The trade fair will be even larger, occupying the four areas of 25,000 sqm available; visitors from at least 70 countries worldwide are expected.Once again the highlight of the event is "The Apple in the World" conference, scheduled for the mornings on the three days of the fair, with important speakers coming from the most suitable areas of the world for apple production. Experts will exchange opinions and know-how useful to the future of the entire sector. In the same context there will be the opportunity to present new arieties, thanks above all to the participation of important research centres, such as those of Laimburg and San Michele all'Adige.Due to the numerous requests from previous years, for Interpoma 2016 there will be even more educational tours intended for trade fair visitors. In particular, every day a couple of visits to two or three locations in the Bolzano area will be organised to show operators from around the world the methods of production, differentiation and storage of apples in the South Tyrol. To facilitate prompt access to these itinerant initiatives, guests can book online on the event's website. To celebrate the tenth birthday of Interpoma, for the first time ever the Trade Fair organisation is working to also involve the city of Bolzano, in order to organise initiatives and events that have the world of the apple as a common denominator. For the local public there will be an opportunity to see one of the area's products of excellence and among the most important for the local economy put to best use, whereas those coming from outside can discover for the first time the apple "fringe events", with several initiatives for a varied and international public. Thomas Mur, the new manager of Fiera Bolzano since 1 September 2015, says: "Interpoma is one of the real prides of Fiera Bolzano. Edition after edition it has enjoyed increasing success, becoming the most important event in the world in this sector. Looking ahead, I see even greater growth and development potential for this show."
