A label is the most important marketing element for the majority of product packaging. Because it helps consumers find their way around the shelves: they immediately find their favorite brand or notice new products. If consumers then look more closely, the label provides them with all the information they need about the product – from legal aspects to recommendations for use. Last but not least, the label can also support the emotional purchasing decision by conveying a good feeling with its design.   What makes a good label?It's quite simple, really: a good label has to adhere well to the product. Of course, in reality it's much more complicated than that. Every label, no matter how inconspicuous, represents a combination of many components that can only achieve effectiveness when acting in tandem. So the right label material has to be selected, as well as the right adhesive. Then the product packaging, labeling machine conditions, transport, warehousing and later the application of the product have to be reviewed under a microscope. Are special certificates required? Are there requirements relating to recycling? When developing the perfect label, all of these questions have to be answered. Bizerba has been producing labels for 40 years.
