Recovering & renovating Elhadi Yahia?s, postharvest specialist, web site

In Professor Elhadi Yahia words:Dear friends,? Some of you may know that I have a web site, www.elhadiyahia.net, created about 18 years ago, and was very active for the first about 8 years, slowed down very much for the next about 5 years when I left the academic world, and was hacked very badly about 5 years ago where we lost all of its contents, and the address started sending to very strange sites.? Recently I decided to re activate it. It took some time to recover some of the previous materials, but I think we now have enough to think that we can certainly can get it back to where it was or better. ? The initial objective of the site was to communicate the activities of my research laboratory with the rest of the world, so it was mostly academic, as you can see from some of the materials that we have recovered so far. The site had major reach in many countries, we received incredible amout of feedback over almost a decade, and it seems that it did serve many people in many ways.? However, my idea is to open it up to deal with R&D on agriculture, food and nutrition, and not only academics. I still do not know how the final format will be, and it will depend on how we see it serving better. We will keep communicating our academic activities, but we will not make it exclusively an academic site.? Some of you are currently or have been collaborators, academically and in other forms of professional activities, and I will be delighted if you think that the site can serve you to include the collaborators, and/or to include information or anything from anyone and/or their organizations, that can serve you, your organization, and/or others.? We are in the perfect time to find out about ways to improve it, and I am very much open and appreciative to receive your ideas and recommendations.? There are many ways to add info/contributions, such as in "News", "Related links", "Books of interest", "Journals of interest", etc.? One of the sections of the site that was very popular and where we received lots of feedback, is the "Views", where I am sure you can recognize some of the colleagues who contributed, and although some of the topics have been written several years ago, I think they still be of excellent interest and benefits to many readers in many parts of the world.
