STEPAC has been accredited by RedCert2 to incorporate chemically recycled Polyamide 6 (Ultramid® Ccycled?) supplied by BASF in its flexible packaging products for shelf-life extension of fresh produce. This represents a major step in supporting a circular economy. The chemically recycled resin, with the brand name BASF Ultramid® Ccycled?, will be incorporated at 30% upon request by customers. Therefore, StePac has presented Xgo? Circular? at the 2022 Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando. Moreover, this flow-pack roll was also presented at BASF booth during the K-show in Dusseldorf

Moreover, this flow-pack roll was also presented at BASF booth during the K-show in Dusseldorf This move is part of StePacs four-pillared sustainability strategy for fresh produce packaging: - Only use packaging when it has a role in protecting the produce and is climate-positive. Keep it as lean as possible. - Packaging should be mechanical recyclable wherever possible - Chemical recycling should be used to complement mechanical recycling in supporting a circular economy - The four-tiered sustainability strategy is designed to reduce excessive plastic use while driving more responsible packaging, supporting the transition from a linear toward a circular economy
