COPIMA, dedicated to the logistics of food distribution, undertakes its new activity in premiering its facilities, located in Puebla de Castro (Huesca). With a surface area of 9,750 m³ for its product conditioning activities distributed in cold and conservation rooms (7,200 m³) and for freezing (2,550 m³). Our criteria when designing and executing the project has been to use natural refrigerants and to achieve maximum energy efficiency. For the cooling of chambers and rooms with temperatures above 0?C degrees was through a system flooded by gravity
ISOFRED designed and executed the project, under the criteria of using natural refrigerants and to achieve maximum energy efficiency. For the cooling of chambers and rooms with temperatures above 0?C degrees was through a system flooded by gravity of ammonia that cools a secondary fluid for food use at a temperature of -8?C. For freezing, it was by means of a subcritical CO² system at a temperature of -35?C to supply all services. This design has great advantages in terms of energy efficiency and safety, isolating toxic fluids in the engine room and achieving a better COP. In the work rooms, the KFL and FRIMETAL equipment was used, with a specific design that combines minimal discomfort to workers with a simple dismantling operation to comply with the Cleaning and Disinfection protocols.
