Ian Wright - Director General, Food & Drink FederationIan Wright is the Director-General of the Food & Drink Federation, the representative voice of the UK's largest manufacturing sector. Before joining FDF in Spring 2015, he spent 14 years responsible for the management of Diageo's reputation as it became one of the world's most trusted and respected companies. He has also worked for Mars Confectionery, Pillsbury and Burger King, as well as spells in consultancy and politics. Ian Wright is an investor/advisor to a number of start-up businesses including The Work Crowd and a trustee of both The WAVE Trust and Children on the Edge. Sierra L. Hartney, Ph. D - West Coast Lead Plant Pathologist, Sakata Seed America, INC.Sierra Hartney is a native of the Pacific Northwest United States (PNW). The diversity in environments and agricultural systems present in the PNW persuaded Sierra to receive a Masters in Plant Pathology from Washington State University followed by a Ph. D focused on Plant Pathology from Oregon State University. Upon completion of her Ph. D, Sierra started a position with Sakata owned Alf Christianson Seed Company, now SAKATA SEED?America, in Mount Vernon, Washington where she provides breeder support pathology to the Spinach, Beet/Swiss Chard, and Pumpkin/Winter Squash breeding programs.
