UNITEC, a group specialized in the design and manufacture of high-technology machinery and systems for the processing, selection and packaging of over 35 types of fresh fruit and vegetables, will be one of the speakers at the "Seminario internacional de Cerezas", organized in Santiago (Chile) by the Asociación de Exportadores de Frutas de Chile,  A.G. (AsoEx), supported by the Fondo de Promoción de Exportaciones SilvoAgropecuarias of the Ministerio de Agricultura managed by ProChila and that involves all leaders in the field of production, processing and export of cherries. It is an important appointment for UNITEC, which for years focuses its research and development towards increasingly innovative technologies, able to make significant improvements in processing and selection of internal and external quality of the cherries. Luca Montanari, vice president of UNITEC, will intervene with a lecture on the "Productivity: Packing lines and future", during which he will explain the guidelines for the development of new technologies in order to improve the post-harvest processes and cherries’ internal and external quality selection, in light of the efficiency and profitability needs of packing houses and of an ever-evolving global market. During this lecture, UNITEC will showcase the latest technological solutions dedicated to cherries processing, such as CHERRY_VISION©, the innovative sorting system developed and manufactured (hardware and software) entirely in-house by UNITEC for on-line, non-destructive detection of external and internal cherry quality. It allows a quality selection never achieved before, improving processing’ efficiency through the highest standards of functionality and reliability. UNITEC's participation to this event is a confirmation of the dedication to research and development of the Italian company, which is now a benchmark for the sector at an international level.
