This year as well, MACFRUT show proves to be a prominent showcase for the presentation of the latest news from UNITEC, the international group that specializes in the design and development of innovative technological solutions that aim to improve the competitiveness of packing houses, both those that process fruits and those that focus on vegetables. In particular, Rimini halls are going to host the official debut of UNISORTING, the new company, 100% controlled by Unitec, that embodies and capitalizes on the great technological heritage of historic companies such as Sammo, Sado and Longobardi. With the birth of Unisorting, the offer of Unitec Group has become even more complete and more specialized, combining the know-how developed by Unitec over more than 90 years in business, with the expertise gained by Sammo, Sado and Longobardi in the design and development of technologies for the processing of specific products such as apples, potatoes, onions, asparagus, citruses, mangoes, dates, avocados, etc. Unisorting is willing to meet the needs of all Sammo, Sado and Longobardi customers, both for the service on previous installations and for integrations and/or new installations. Cherry Vision 2 will be the protagonist of Rimini show. It is a technology developed by Unitec for the selection of internal and external quality of cherries that, after the excellent results obtained at the international level, this year has obtained a growing success in our Country too. During the last season, three companies have decided to process their cherries with Unitec technologies, obtaining important results in terms of higher quality offered to the market, cost reduction, increase of the shelf-life of cherries and greater efficiency in every stage of the packing: Consorzio Melinda in Northern Italy, Agrintesa group in Central Italy and Azienda Di Palma in Southern Italy. Blueberry Vision is one of the latest technologies developed by Unitec that will be presented at Rimini show. It is an exclusive technology designed and developed by Unitec (already widely tested) for the quality selection of blueberries. Blueberry Vision can inspect the whole surface and pulp of fruits. Thanks to this specific innovation that characterizes Blueberry Vision, it is possible to classify fruits according to their degree of ripeness or their softness and select/classify possible external defects as well as usual parameters such as size and color. With Blueberry Vision Unitec Technology, silver medal at Macfrut Innovation Award, packing houses are provided with the maximum guarantee on the selection and classification of fruit quality and, so, improve their competitiveness in the markets in which they operate, thus expanding their business thanks to a better image and a greater credibility that result from the improvement in the quality. "This is in Unitec DNA: continuously innovate in order to provide packing houses all over the world with cutting-edge technologies that can produce tangible improvement results for their processes and thus for their business - says Angelo Benedetti, President of Unitec (Picture 1). Today, our Group has grown and it will specialize even more in the future in order to give more and more personalized and specialized answers on an extremely wide range of fruits, since with the birth of Unisorting we can combine an incredible amount of experience gained over many years by Unitec with the experience of Sammo, Sado and Longobardi. Unisorting is all of this and from now it is available to all companies that have new or old projects to implement, improve and/or develop in order to improve their potential or performance".
