This year once again UNITEC, the group specialized in the field of innovation for the fruit & vegetable sector with technologies dedicated to more than 35 types of fruit & vegetable, will attend Fruit Logistica from 5th to 7th February 2014 (the picture shows the 2013 stand). Unitec will present its many different innovations aimed at improving every stage of fresh fruit & vegetable processing: from emptying through to packing, plus non-destructive selection of internal and external quality of fruit. Its attention to market needs and pursuit of tailor-made solutions designed to increase efficiency and reduce processing costs, coupled with its strong international focus have enabled Unitec to bring clients in 40 countries worldwide highly successful results. “2013 was an important year for Unitec", states company Chairman, Angelo Benedetti. "We notched up some superb results in the field of internal and external quality selection, thanks to our Ultravision© system, individually configured and programmed for each different type of fruit (Apple Vision, Cherry Vision, Apricot Vision, etc). Clients can testify to the results achieved, which often surpass their expectations.” The technologies on display at the exhibition will include:UNI_ONE LF jolly©, an extremely versatile electronic sorter capable of processing a wide variety of fruit & vegetables, from apricots, peaches, persimmons and lemons to aubergines, mandarins, apples, pears and tomatoes. The machine's technology allows it to use the same system to sort products of different shapes. This dramatically reduces the investment-cost amortization period and increases the profitability of the entire processing cycle. CHERRY SORTING TECHNOLOGIES, that has achieved outstanding success around the world. UNICAL_200 cherry©, the electronic sorter dedicated to sort small and delicate fruits such as cherries and cherry tomatoes. This innovative technology is characterized by its high productivity and extreme gentleness, both greatly appreciated by users. Also on display there will be CHERRY_VISION©, the system that offers non destructive detection of the external and internal quality of cherries and cherries tomatoes. This very successful technology significantly reduces the hand labour dedicated to fruit with defects with marked savings in processing costs and, at the same time, enhance the produce value thanks to capability to sort defects not detectable by human eye. Thanks to CHERRY_VISION©, cherries and cherry tomatoes packers noticeably improve their quality selection and increase their market profitability thanks to accurate quality selection never reached before. UNI_FLY©, an optical-electronic sorter designed and developed to provide an effective solution to the difficult process of sorting small fruits like grapes, cherries in syrup or blueberries. The UNI_FLY© system is equipped with a vision unit with high resolution camera to identify fruits of non-conforming colour or shape and foreign bodies, depending on the program selected. UNI_FLY© technology delivers a range of benefits, including:- the ability to detect defects that are not visible to the naked eye, resulting in a sorted product that is perfect for downstream processing or sale on the market;- reduced labour costs for sorting personnel and more reliable sorting quality;- the possibility of installation in existing lines. UNI_BOX 021©, the UNITEC solution for automatic opening of reusable plastic crates sized 60x40 cm, with supply of footboards of closed crates at machine entry and a system of palletization of stacked open crates at machine exit. The technology is extremely versatile (it can be easily adapted to the different crate models on the market) and efficient, allowing considerable cost savings thanks to increased capacity coupled with a reduction in terms of labour requirement.
