World first for internal quality grading of blueberries... and other developments

UNITEC's participation in Fruit Attraction 2021 highlighted, as it usually does, its satisfied customers, in the image frieze, and new developments in technology, highlighting advances in blueberry sorting and robotics. In the picture, Nour Abdrabbo, Sales Director, in front of the UNIQ Blueberry technology, dedicated to the selection of the internal quality of blueberries that, combined with the Blueberry Vision 3 technology, guarantees an integral selection of each fruit. Blueberry Vision 3 and UNIQ Blueberry allow the packing houses to give even more value to their blueberries to deliver blueberries to the end consumers which are aesthetically beautiful but also, and above all, good with great reliability and without damaging the fruit. Blueberry Vision 3 is able to inspect 100% of the surface of each blueberry and its high-resolution cameras help select blueberries on the basis of a variety of different and independent parameters - soft fruit, external quality, shape defects, in addition to optical size and color. UNI Robotic is a recent division of UNITEC specialising in intelligent robotic solutions. It was created to meet the needs of fruit and vegetable plants around the world to reduce fixed costs and optimise labour. Two solutions were presented from this division. One of them is the "UNI intelligent weight solution", which intelligently regulates the filling of kiwi crates according to the set weight. The "UNI intelligent punnet pack" allows the baskets to be held two by two and positioned inside the box until they are completely filled, without the intervention of operators.
