Ph.D. George Staby, Perishables Research Organization, communicates that there are a few important changes in the Care, Handling, and Marketing Recommendations for Floral Crops eManual and Chain of Life Network website: - If you want to do subject or floral crop searches using the Chain of Life Network and Specific Floral Crops databases noted in the eManual on pages 124 and 19, respectively, you will be find that the links are no longer connect to the databases.  To use these databases, please go to the Customized Services page on my website where you will learn how to have your subject and/or crop searches done by me for free.  I am sorry for this inconvenience, but providing Internet access to these databases by a third party became too cumbersome and expensive. - The most recent floral postharvest and marketing research results will be posted on my website under a new section called Latest Updates.  In addition and for those of you connected to me on LinkedIn, I will contact you via LinkedIn when new updates are added. - Regarding LinkedIn, I am a member of LinkedIn because I am connected only to those interested in floral postharvest and/or marketing subjects.  Hence, if you use LinkedIn and are not connected to me, I would welcome your connection.  If you are not involved with LinkedIn and if you so desire, you can join LinkedIn by clicking HERE after which you can search for me and connect. - I have started a discussion group on LinkedIn called Chain of Life Network that you might be interested in following.  Just search under groups for the Chain of Life Network name. - Finally, if you are not already a sponsor of the eManual and website, please click HERE to learn how to become a sponsor and join those companies that have already made the investment.  This is a main source of income to help us cover the out-of-pocket expenses to maintain and update both the eManual and website.
