Bubble pads and absorbent pads are manufactured in INFIA following its policy of "design for recycling". "Design for recycling" is one of the principles, together with "design for environment" of the Tray-to-Tray (T2T) project, The proejct aims at diversifying Infia's sources of recycled material and at the same time “closing the circle”, by using not only post-consumer bottle fragments but also post-consumer tray fragments. Bubble Pad and Absorbent Pad are glued to the tray by means of a suitably designed adhesive agent, in order to facilitate full release of the plastic support during the PET recycling process. Bubble padInfia can supply punnets with bubble-pad to protect the fruit from bruises and damages that may occur during the transport. Absorbent padInfia can apply special pads on punnets in order to protect the fruit and absorb liquids.Other types of active / MAP pads can be applied.
