AMILON, developed by ISOLCELL, is a tool for determining the maturity stage of apples and pears quickly, accurately and without misinterpretation, with the possibility to archive the data electronically.
The AMILON is an automatic starchmeter that photographs an equatorial section of fruit that has previously been treated with an iodine-potassium iodide solution (Lugol solution). Innovative software then processes the image and returns an accurate measurement of the starch index value.
