The future of the fruit and vegetable sector in modern retail: this will be the main theme of the activities that will take place as part of F&V Retail for the future, one of the innovations of the MACFRUT Special edition, to be held from Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 September at the Rimini Expo Centre. Located in the central South Hall and designed by ThinkFresh in collaboration with Macfrut, this event will shine a spotlight on one of the key themes in the fruit and vegetable industry: the role of retail in the future of this segment. It will do so in an original way, in a sense picking up the baton of ThinkFresh Obiettivo Rilancio, an event that will also take place in Rimini on Monday 5 September. The Agroter group will be present at Macfrut, in a dedicated area in the central South Hall, with innovative on-time research: Macfrut participants will take part in a survey on the role of retail in the evolution of the fruit and vegetable supply chain, which will be illustrated step by step. The results of the survey will be commented by managers in the retail industry during interviews, which will be conducted daily in this area. The Retail Lounge will also be hosted here, offering retailers the opportunity to meet with exhibitors and visitors in an intimate setting with every amenity. The retail industry is the natural link between production and consumption, but it often lacks coordination with the upstream phase, which is necessary to be able to profitably deliver to end customers, explains Roberto Della Casa. The aim of Retail for the Future is to identify common development strategies for those actively involved in the supply chain in order to relaunch the industry at such a difficult economic time. For a while now, Macfrut has been focusing on a key theme, that is, modern retail, says Renzo Piraccini, President of Macfrut. This further initiative is yet another important step in this direction, broadening the scope through research that will involve the stakeholders in real time, which proves that Macfrut is not only a trade fair packed with content, but also a business fair.
