Bizerba makes history and has done so for 150 years

Bizerba's success story begins 150 years ago. During its lifetime, Bizerba has become a global operating, in many areas leading technology company, blending established traditions and values with continual innovations and fresh thinking. In 1924 Bizerba scales revolutionise tills in the retail sector with the world´s first pendulum scale makes handling loose weights obsolete. After the 2nd. World War and rebuilding the company due the war damages, Bizerba Triggered a revolution in the retail sector. The OP scales become the first retail scales worldwide to feature an optical price display. Later on Bizerba entered the cutting business. The 1960's marks the Bizerba´s entry in the industrial scales industry, todays main business sector of Bizerba. The 4th generation started the move from mechanical to electronic scales. The 90's are the years of the scales linked to a PC, and self service scales. Bizerba also started to produce labels. The name of Bizerba appeals to the founder, Mr. Bizer, and Balingen, the place of the city. The son in law of Mr Bizer, Prof. Kraut, followed the business, and the company is now run by the 5th generation.
