It can cause up to 50% loses.Infopost nr. 70, in Spanish language, by Fomesa Fruitech, includes an excerpt from a trial in Bright Red Persimmon made by Fomesa Fruitech in collaboration with the centre of postharvest technology at the IVIA, Valencia, Spain. Based on the results the recommendation is to apply GREENGARD-SCALD together with FRUITCLOR disinfectant in the packinghouse line, before the treatment against astringency.
