FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022: Meet onsite again

FRUIT LOGISTICA, the world's leading trade fair for the fresh fruit and vegetable industry, is being held once more as a physical event in Berlin from 9 to 11 February 2022. Along with the three-pronged approach of fresh inspiration, the best information, and new business opportunity, FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022 will give the industry a look to the future and provide answers to questions about how the fruit trade will grow in the medium and long term. "The desire for personal encounters at a physical event is immense, especially because it hasn't been possible for so long. We know that some companies have hesitated to sign up. But this reticence has continuously decreased because international conference venues, including Berlin, have shown that physical events are possible again. We are very far along in the planning and have sent the placement suggestions to our exhibitors," says Kai Mangelberger, Acting Director of FRUIT LOGISTICA.

Even now, the number of registered exhibitors for FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022 is close to that of the last event, and the level of international diversity is very positive with companies from 68 countries. "Based on the previous registration rate, we're expecting well over 2,000 exhibitors for FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022," says Kai Mangelberger. Even though most of the representatives are from Europe, Central and South America are still heavily represented as well. But FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022 will not only be very international, but will also reflect the entire value added chain for fresh produce across more than 25 halls, from producers to the point of sale, as well as key players in the industry. Dole, Fyffes, SanLucar and Zespri, among others, will be representing the fresh produce industry. Maersk and Ethihad Cargo will be among the logistics representatives, as well as Edeka for food retail, Sormac and Greefa from machinery and technology, and Euro Pool System from packaging. BioTropic, the Bundesvereinigung der Erzeugerorganisationen Obst und Gemüse (BVEO), Driscoll’s, and Fruit Masters are also confirmed. “Over the last 18 months we have learnt that holding international meetings while sitting at the office desk is possible. But we have also learned that nothing can replace the pleasure and the tangibility of holding a vis a vis discussion. We are looking forward to exhibit at FRUIT LOGISTICA as it represents the most complete event in the fruit and vegetables industry worldwide,” says Rita Biserni, who is in charge of International Marketing at Italian exhibitor Alegra. “Finally we can meet again face-to-face at one of the biggest events for fruit and vegetables, the FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022 in Berlin. Reconnecting the world of freshness. We can’t wait to meet our valued partners and new potentials to show the developments we have been working on the last two years!” says Bert Haffmans, CEO of Dutch exhibitor Sormac. An overview of all exhibitors at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022, including co-exhibitors, will be released on the FRUIT LOGISTICA website in November.
