Giró Group joins the United Nations Global Compact Network Spain

As a company dedicated to the Sustainable Packaging sector, we know that GIRÓ GROUP has a very important role within society as far as sustainability is concerned. For this reason and with the intention of reaffirming its commitment, Grupo Giró has adhered to the United Nations Global Compact. The United Nations Global Compact is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. Currently there are more than 13.000 entities adhered to this initiative, 1.945 of them within the United Nations Global Compact Spain. In this way, being part of this pact is a decisive step in what respects the mission and strategy of the company in both the short and long term.  The fact that Giró adheres to the United Nations Global Compact implies a commitment on the part of the company to adopt support measures in favor of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), as well as to carry out its activities in compliance with the Ten Principles universally accepted, which revolve around 4 fundamental pillars: Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment and Fight against corruption. Since its inception, Giró has ensured compliance with principles, but by adhering to the Global Compact it demonstrates its firm commitment to society and the continuous improvement of the company itself in favor of sustainability.
