After participating in Asia Fruit Logistica, INFIA, exhibited in Macfrut, with a stand situated in an outstanding place (1st picture); the plastic packaging manufacturer will be in Madrid, participating in Fruit Attraction, next October, 5 – 7. Infia has being manufacturing plastic packaging for more than 65 years, distributed in over 80 countries. More than 450 references of punnets, lids, kit line, overwrapping trays, and trayliners for produce, and a commitment with continuous development and research. Infia has created and developed a new side ventilation system called “F concept” (2nd picture). Good aeration of the tray allows for more rapid pre-cooling of produce and so slows down the ripening process of the fruit, ensuring a longer shelf life. The holes on the side also permit the escape of ethylene vapours naturally produced by fermentation of the fruit. Infia is the first packaging producer in the world to offer packaging able to provide a high quality full colour printing solution directly on the punnet. This next generation technology allows for unequalled personalisation and promotion of our customers' brands and logos. The sustainability programme INFIA4EARTHInfia is committed to ongoing research and development of innovative solutions aimed at reducing the environmental impact of production processes. Its plastic packaging already makes a significant contribution to sustainability by reducing food waste. Thanks to the “F” side ventilation system, fruit and vegetables have a longer shelf life. By working with customers, large retailers, government institutions, non-profit organisations and entities involved in environmental sustainability, the reduction of waste and recycling of materials, Infia is striving to consistently make improvements in the performance of the packaging. To Infia customers, the commitment becomes a guarantee of respect for four main objectives are Reduction of food waste; the Environment; Safety at work, social responsability and integrity at work; and Innovation. Regarding Innovation, the side hole ventilation system, the One-Shot mono material punnet, use of internal supercleaner or introduction of a new print directly on the punnet are only some examples of how the enthusiasm, skill and expertise gained by the company over the years are a guarantee of quality and efficiency for customers around the world.
