Dutch based ripening room technology specialist Interko has completely renewed its fruit ripening technology. By rethinking every single part of the technology Interko was able to realize an enormous reduction in the use of energy of the system and make it more user-friendly in order to lower the total cost of ownership. Chris Maat, export manager and co-owner of Interko explains: "Every detail of the system we have reviewed  for energy use and applied innovative materials and advanced technologies to limit as much as possible all small losses. All the small bits together created on average a reduction in energy consumption of 30 percent."The user-friendly Eco-Ripe system is constructed from high quality components requiring less maintenance. Chris Maat:"In the revision of our ripening technology that led to the new Eco Ripe system our first focus was on energy efficiency and our second focus was on making the maintenance easier and therefore reducing the total costs."Custom made solutionsThe innovative Eco Ripe technology is applied all over the world and is designed for the ripening of exotic fruits such as bananas, avocados or mango's. Over 100 new Eco-Ripe systems found their way to the customer already since the introduction end 2011.  Interko's advanced technology creates an even airflow and cooling possibilities within a ripening room leading to a top quality ripening process that offers the user many possibilities.
