Large carrot wash line in Australasia low maintenance, simple to use and gentle on the product

Rocky Lamattina & Sons is one of the largest carrot growers in Australia, with around 2.500 ha, located northern Victoria, managed by Mr. Lamattina and three sons. A two-year project by WYMA, built right in Christchurch and shipped to Victoria in a whopping 49 containers, is believed to be the largest carrot wash line in Australasia.  Angelo Lamattina, General Manager, one of the sons, speaks about his experience in the video at the end. The main challenge was to build equipment that was low maintenance, simple to use and gentle on the product. Wyma were well known for building brush washers, and in 2007, attending Lamattina & Sons needs, the Mega-Polisher was born. When it came time to build a new line the company approached Wyma again, and the result is the new installation. Angelo says they are more than satisfied with the final result.
