Fresh food packaging manufacturer LINPAC and partner company INFIA, a global leader in fresh fruit and vegetable packaging, will be joining forces to showcase their range of products at Fruit Logistica 2016. LINPAC will have its Freshware range on display, whilst Infia will be revealing direct printing on to its fruit punnets in Hall 21 at stand C08-09. Infia is the first packaging producer in the world to be able to apply a printing solution directly on to a punnet. This exclusive technology enables pack personalisation and promotion of customers' brands and logos. Unlike other technologies, such as heat transfer, labels or sleeves, it does not add additional plastic materials to trays resulting in improved cost savings and environmental impact. Fabio Zoboli, marketing manager at Infia, said: Our product range is one of the most complete and diversified within the market sector and Fruit Logistica is the perfect opportunity to showcase our technical capabilities to visitors. Infia will also be demonstrating its latest fruit punnets, which include a side ventilation air flow system. This unique design allows naturally produced ethilene caused by product fermentation and natural condensation to escape and helps to slow down the fruit ripening process, boosting shelf-life performance. The Freshware range by LINPAC taps in to the growing popularity and demand for chilled prepared and convenience food and comprises of hinged and lid sealed containers and tubs for prepared fruit and salads. Visitors to Fruit Logistica will be able to see the companys pyramid packs, wedge packs, round pot and lid and snack packs. The products are manufactured using up to 95 per cent post consumer recyclate (PCR), which has been supercleaned by LINPAC, ensuring its food safe. Freshware products are fully recyclable alongside standard bottle waste and the use of PCR in its manufacturing process reduces the carbon footprint by up to 40 per cent. Whilst the Freshware range includes standard formats, LINPAC also offers a bespoke design service to develop individual shapes or ranges of containers to present prepared cut fruits to the consumer in uniquely different and attractive formats.
