With the aim of perfecting our work with the oriental vegetable variety Baby Bok Cho, at PACLIFE we tested its preservation in a 13-day storage period with Paclife's modified atmosphere packaging and here we tell you the results. Baby Bok Cho is an Asian cabbage that is very popular in southern China and Southeast Asia. In Latin America, Mexico has become an important producer of the vegetable due to its climatic conditions, with 436 hectares planted in the country. To test the effectiveness of its preservation with Paclife's MAP packaging, a short journey of 13 days was simulated, observing gas stability inside the packaging throughout the entire packaging period. Thanks to PacLife's patented nanotechnology, 0% weight loss was obtained at the end of the cabbage storage period, versus 18.8% measured without the use of a bag.

In addition, with MAP packaging the vegetables retain their aroma, colour and flavour as freshly harvested, without rotting or dehydration, while without the bag there were cracks in the stalk from the first 7 days. In this way, the effectiveness of Paclife packaging is corroborated with the Baby Bok Cho variety, where 100% of the vegetables finished their storage process without cracks, softness or weak leaves, reducing product losses and improving their chances of entering other destinations.
