New installation by Interko incorporating the company´s trademark yellow indicators to increase safety

Interko finished a new fruit ripening project in Cologne! These ULTIMO ripening rooms are classic banana rooms equipped with the latest and most effective ripening technology. High speed and efficiency is what our customers strive for in the logistical process of their ripening centres. To eliminate the possibility of the forklift hitting the front separators or the steel racking, we have incorporated our trademark yellow indicators at the front of the room to increase safety and to smooth out the loading process.   About ULTIMO, the ripening rooms that guarantee a maximum efficiency for an even ripening Interko´s ULTIMO Ripening Rooms are designed to generate an equal flow of air across either single or double row of pallets to evenly ripen batches of bananas within a tightly-stacked space. By using effective side curtains, air reaches individual pallets with minimum energy loss and filters seamlessly throughout each and every box of bananas. To reduce dehidration and product loss, an air cooler runs along the length of the room. This maximises the cooling area and maintains a constant temperature. More information
