New packaging system to pack fruit punnets in Net films

Fruit punnets containing peaches, nectarines, plums, … and many other fruits and vegetables, may now be packed in Net film. This new package, by ULMA Packaging, guarantees the maximum breathability required by many fruits, allowing to see the fruit, resulting in an attractive, hygienic, and functional packaging. The plastic band allows to easily handle the punnet, and to communicate with the customer. Sienna LS BS machine is used to pack punnets in Net films. Joseba Alberdi, Marketing Manager, shows the Net film packaging, beside the Sienna LS BS exhibited Fruit Logistica 2018 (1st picture; the 2nd picture shows a detail of the packaging). Other innovations exhibited in Fruit Logistica were faster tray sealer machine, TSA 875 (3rd picture); VTC 840 vertical wrapper with a product aspiration system specially designed for herbs and leaf produce; and Atlanta E with an automatic multibelt feeder designed for contactless feeding of trays.
