BIZERBA will be exhibiting in two booths at this year’s FachPack trade show in Nuremberg (Germany). From September 25-27, the focus at the main booth (booth #141 in hall 3A) will be on intelligent hardware for error-free labeling and end-to-end label inspection. In the center of the company’s presence, visitors will find the GLM-Ievo 40 fully automatic labeling system designed for heavy-duty logistics applications. Additional labeling and inspection systems as well as filling systems and terminals will be featured at the main booth. From transparent film labels to thermal direct and multi-layer labels, visitors will be able to see how products can make a sustainable impression in a natural manner. A new generation of fully automatic price labeling and labeling systems makes a sustainable impression in the factory floor and at the consumer. For instance, GLM-Ievo 40 is the ideal solution for situations requiring maximum performance in the logistics sector. The network-enabled, fully automatic labeling system was specifically developed for boxes, cartons and bulk packs and is capable of labeling large and heavy products. Thanks to its modular construction, it can be configured according to custom requirements and mounted at different positions depending on the environment at hand. In addition, the labeling unit can be equipped with thermal direct or thermal transfer printing technology. GLM-Ievo 40 is available in different versions. While the single-band version labels products on the scale in the start-stop mode, the four-band version featuring separate labeling bands excels in in-motion operation. Representing the highlight of Bizerba’s main booth at the FachPack 2018, it reliably meets all process requirements, providing flexibility, ruggedness and precise results even in the most difficult environments. Excellent ResultsModern fully automatic weigh price labelers like the GLM-Ievo 40 achieve maximum reliability and precision. Under rare circumstances, wrong label rolls can be loaded or a wrong overpack can be used due to external conditions. Camera-based inspection systems help to identify any faulty packages. For this purpose, Bizerba‘s PackSecure system can be integrated into a packaging line to eliminate any rework, complaints or product recalls resulting from labeling errors. High-resolution cameras featuring automatic height adjustment and high-speed data transfer capability inspect the package from the bottom to the top with minimum space requirements. Thanks to the modular design, a large variety of sensors can be integrated according to individual checking requirements. Faulty packages not meeting the pre-defined criteria are automatically ejected from production. Additional exhibits at Bizerba’s main booth include the FSL-PRO S semi-automatic filling system and the iS75 industrial terminal. As a flexible, universal solution, the FSL-PRO S ensures the correct filling and weighing of hard-to-process, flammable, corrosive or foamy liquids. For instance, the system can be used in the paint and lacquer, chemical, petrochemical, construction material, pharmaceutical and food industry. Easily combinable with other solutions from Bizerba, the iS75 industrial terminal acts as the central switching and control unit in a variety of production environments. Boasting multi-functionality, the network-enabled, high-end solution can be used for counting, inspection and data acquisition purposes and reliable production control. Sustainable ImpressionNo matter if it is a bright red apple or a golden yellow banana – nature knows best how to present its products. Although labels from Bizerba do not compete with these natural advertising means, they provide products and packages with a very special, sustainable quality seal. Visitors of the company’s second booth (booth #517 in hall 9) can experience the charisma and informational power of Bizerba’s wide label portfolio at first hand. From special papers to foils with thermal-reactive surfaces and linerless label materials without carrier band, you will find a suitable solution for any requirement. For instance, visitors can get an overview of different thermal direct, decorative, special or organic film labels. Special focus is put on the advantages of transparent thermal films and multi-layer labels. For this purpose, two versions of the GLP 160maxx label printer will be on display. While one device demonstrates the processing of transparent thermal films, the other highlights the strengths of variable multi-layer labels. As the major advantage of transparent thermal labels, the end consumer is provided with all important information about a product without restricting the view on the product. In addition, multi-layer labels excel with products and packages that require increased information on minimum space.
