In the course, an international benchmark for the produce industry, are involved major companies as well as leading teachers and researchers in the postharvest research worldwide. Prof. Dr. Adel A. Kader, UC Davis, California, USA, who died last fall, was always concerned with the needs of the postharvest, defending aspects such as the importance of flavor in both fresh produce and minimally processed. His many concerns and contributions are summarized in the main article of Infopost 74, available at the link (Spanish language), based on the conference during this VII edition of the Course. One of the pictures shows Dr. Artes Calero during the conference. Infospost 74 also summarizes the available treatments to extend shelf life of stone fruits. These are divided into treatments applied directly to the fruit (including waxes, fortifiers and products to disinfect), products for cleaning and disinfection of containers (bins, boxes), and products for disinfection cool chambers, packinghouses, trucks, ...
