The X International ISHS Peach Conference was appointed to Greece

X World Peach Conference, held under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), was appointed to the Greek/Cypriot delegation. This was an unanimous decision by all delegates of the IX Peach ISHS Conference, held in Bucharest (Romania) last week (2-7 July 2017). Meeting will be hosted in Naoussa (Macedonia, Greece) as a joint initiative of Cyprus University of Technology (Prof. George Manganaris); Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Prof. Athanasios Molassiotis). The Conference is programmed to be held during the first week of June, 2021. Naoussa (Central Macedonia) is one of the most beautiful cities of Greece, being the capital of the homonym province with a population of 25.000 residents and combines the beauties of the plain with those of the mountain, offering a rich mesh of activities and services, including UNESCO Heritage sites. It is additionally the epicenter of peach fruit production in Greece. Notably, Greece is ranked 5 th worldwide in terms of production, being the main exporter worldwide of caned peaches.
