T.R. Turoni presents a new universal sizer at Interpoma 2022

For more than 35 years, T.R. Turoni offers a complete range of postharvest and field instruments for quality control of fresh produce. The company has presented a new automatic, portable and universal sizer at Interpoma 2022. The new device allows to determine the caliber of the fruits and vegetables in an easy and quickly way. Its mechanism is very simple. The fruit is held in the palm of the hand and a trigger is activated that narrows a metal band around the fruit. Then, on the screen, you can read the gauge obtained. The Italian Patent and Trademark Office has already validated this new development to determine the size of fruits between 25 and 95 mm. Therefore, with this new portable calibrator, farmers will have one more ally to determine the optimal moment of harvest and determine the quality in each of the stages of the supply chain.
