UNITEC at Fruit Logistica: Quality selection as a strategic asset for consumer loyalty

Thanks to Unitec’s technologies, and thanks to Ultravision systems in particular, you can select multiple parameters that determine the quality of each fruit including: size, color, Brix degree, external defects, hardness, and internal defects. The product is transported and handled with maximum delicacy during all phases of analysis and packaging. Among these, Cherry Vision 2, the latest vision system developed by Unitec that represents a major step forward in the detection of defects in cherries. To witness the efficiency of Cherry Vision 2, the leading Chilean cherry producers that have just concluded the campaign, recorded major improvements in detection rates for the defect of cracking, caused by the rains that swept Chile during last season.- UNI_ONE LF Jolly©, pictures 2 and 3, an extremely versatile electronic sorter capable of processing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables including apricots, peaches, persimmons, lemons, eggplants, mandarins, apples, pears and tomatoes. Because this technology uses the same system to sort products of different shapes, it dramatically reduces the depreciation costs and increases the profitability of the entire processing cycle.- UNICAL_200 cherry©, picture 4, an electronic sorter dedicated to sorting small and delicate fruits, especially cherries and cherry tomatoes. This is a technology with elevated potential and extreme sensitivity, highly appreciated in the market place. The sorter is equipped with CHERRY_VISION© which allows the non-destructive detection of external and internal quality in the selection of cherries.
