Beekenkamp Verpakkingen BE-Cube Pallet Box nominated for Fruit Logistica innovation award

Over recent years, Beekenkamp Verpakkingen has been working on the development of a flexible storage and transport system in response to market demand to reduce bulk logistics costs. It is as a result of this development that the BE-Cube pallet box system emerged. The pallet box with Big Bag can be fully collapsed whilst being robust and strong enough to allow the 900 kg capacity BECubes to be stacked eight-high. The finishing touches were completed over the past year and the BE-Cube is now fully ready for launch and use. The aluminium posts, plastic pallet and the Big Bag can be manufactured to customer specifications, which means the BE-Cube can be used in a range of sectors. 234 folded-down BE-Cubes (26 positions x 9 high) or 52 filled BE-Cubes (26 positions x 2 high) - provided the lorry’s maximum permitted loading capacity is not exceeded - will fit in a standard semitrailer. Nominated for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award An expert jury, made up of representatives from all trade sectors, nominated the BE-Cube pallet box system for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award 2017 from more than 60 candidates. During the Fruit Logistica, which is being held in Berlin from 8 to 10 February 2017, Beekenkamp Verpakkingen will present the new BE-Cube pallet box system to an international public at the special exhibition for all 10 nominated innovations (between halls 20 and 21). Visitors to the Fruit Logistica will be invited to vote for their favourite innovation of 2017. Fruit Logistica is a leading trade fair and international platform for the fruit and vegetable trade. Each year, it is attended by around 70,000 visitors from more than 130 countries. Beekenkamp Verpakkingen has a booth at Stand D-09 in Hall 1.2, where a model of the BE-Cube pallet box system will feature.
