Therefore, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y del Medio Natural (ETSIAMN), and Poscosecha.com are organising the VI Curso Tecnología Poscosecha - Cítricos y cultivos emergentes en la región mediterránea, which will take place from 26 January to 10 March 2023 at the UPV (Valencia, Spain). As in the previous edition, the course will be available in two modalities: face-to-face and online. The latter modality will allow real-time access to the classes and send live comments. I Pistachio ForumCurrently, the European demand for nuts and, specifically, pistachio is increasing due to its benefits for human health. On the other hand, the number of pistachio orchards is increasing exponentially and its surface area already exceeds 55,000 ha in Spain. Moreover, 80% of the orchards are located in the Castilla-La Mancha region thanks to its favorable edophoclimatic conditions. Therefore, it is expected that the European demand will be satisfied by Spanish production in the coming years. The objective of this event is to present a technical analysis of the previous campaign and the commercial news in the market. The 1st edition was a great success with more than 470 attendees. Publication of two open-access booksMoreover, we would like to remind you that this year we have presented two digital and open-access books in Spanish: - "Cultivo, poscosecha, procesado y comercio de berries" deals with growing, trading, storage, and processing technologies of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and other berries. It brings together 30 chapters written by 50 international researchers and worldwide specialists. The book is divided into four thematic blocks: 1) General overview, 2) Species and cultivation, 3) Postharvest and industrialization, and 4) Information sources. - "Tecnología Hortícola Mediterránea Evolución y Futuro" analyzes the state of the art of growing technologies, market changes, and the most important Mediterranean crops. The book is structured into 48 chapters divided into three sections: General Panorama, Production Technology and Crops. In its writing, 87 authors of great international prestige participated, exceeding 1000 pages of content.
