I Pistachio ForumCurrently, the European demand for nuts and, specifically, pistachio is increasing due to its benefits for human health. On the other hand, the number of pistachio orchards is increasing exponentially and its surface area already exceeds 55,000 ha in Spain. Moreover, 80% of the orchards are located in the Castilla-La Mancha region thanks to its favorable edophoclimatic conditions. Therefore, it is expected that the European demand will be satisfied by Spanish production in the coming years. In this context, Naandanjain, Compo Expert, AGQ Labs, TecnologíaHortícola.com, and Poscosecha.com organize the I Pistachio Forum to be held on February 22, 2023 in Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). The objective of this event is to share knowledge to support future investments, improve its management and point out the way for the technological, commercial and industrial development of this crop. Thus, recognized experts will discuss the most outstanding aspects of this crop, around four round tables: Technology, Innovation, Market and, Investment. We will provide more information in the coming days. 2nd Citrus Postharvest ConferencePoscosecha.com and el Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA) will organize the 2nd Citrus Postharvest Conference next September.
